Checking Compatibility
- Download PC Health Check from the Microsoft website
- Run the application and click Check now
- The tool will show whether your computer meets the requirements
Checking TPM 2.0
- Press
Win + R, typetpm.mscand press Enter - In the TPM Management window, check the specification version
- It should be 2.0
If TPM is disabled, enable it in the BIOS/UEFI (usually in the Security section).
Checking Secure Boot
- Press
Win + R, typemsinfo32 - Find Secure Boot State — it should be On
Windows 11 Pro vs Home — differences in requirements
Both editions have the same hardware requirements. The difference lies in the features:
- Pro: BitLocker, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop, group policy management
- Home: Requires a Microsoft account during installation
