Cause

The connection to the Office activation servers is blocked or unavailable. A network firewall, proxy, or antivirus may be blocking the connection.

• During activation, the message appears: "Unable to activate Office package — network error"
• Error code: 0x8004FC12
• English version: "Office couldn't be activated — network error"

Step-by-step solution

Check your internet connection. Temporarily disable the firewall/antivirus and try to activate. Ensure that https://activation.sls.microsoft.com is accessible.

Solution for Office

1. Open any Office application (Word, Excel)
2. File → Account → Change product key
3. Enter the key from KluczeSoft
4. Click Activate

Alternatively, through the command line:

cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
cscript ospp.vbs /act

Verification

After performing the steps, check if the activation was successful:
