This error occurs in: Office 2016, Office 2019, Office 2021, Office 2024.

Cause

The version of the Office package is incompatible with the installed version of Windows. For example, Office 2024 requires Windows 10 or 11, and Office 2019 requires Windows 10.

Symptoms

• During activation, the message appears: "Unable to activate Office — product is incompatible with the operating system"
• Error code: 0x8004FE33
• English version: "The product is not compatible with this version of Windows"

Step-by-step solution

Check the system requirements for the installed version of Office. Office 2024 requires Windows 10/11 or macOS Sequoia+. If necessary, update Windows.

Solution for Office

1. Open any Office application (Word, Excel)
2. File → Account → Change product key
3. Enter the key from KluczeSoft
4. Click Activate

Verification
