Error 0xC004F064: Non-Genuine Grace Period Expired

This error occurs in: Windows 10, Windows 11.

Cause

The tolerance period for an unactivated Windows system has expired. The computer will display watermarks and restrict personalisation.

Symptoms

• During activation, the message appears: "Non-Genuine Grace Period Expired"
• Error code: 0xC004F064
• English version: "The non-genuine grace period expired"

Step-by-Step Solution

Activate Windows with a valid product key or purchase a digital licence from the Microsoft Store.

Method 1: Reactivation through Settings

1. Open Settings → System → Activation
2. Click Troubleshoot (if available)
3. Click Change product key
4. Enter the key from KluczeSoft and click Next → Activate

Method 2: Activation through Command Line

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and enter:

slmgr /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
slmgr /ato

Replace XXXXX-... with your product key.

Method 3: Telephone Activation

If online activation does not work:

Call the displayed number and follow the instructions.

Verification

After performing the steps, check if the activation was successful:

• Windows: Settings → System → Activation → should display "Windows is activated"
• Or: slmgr /xpr in the command line
